Satyam Fraud - Hate Naraynamurthy !!

Satyam fraud is the latest topic can be taken for my blog.
1. How is it possible for Ramalinga Raju to cook the book with out the knowledge of CFO, Finance Team and Auditors? - No way.
2. usually in companies, every vertical head knows the revenue about his division. Then how come not even a Single business head doesn't know about this?
3. Is it possible for Auditors to not to know about the fraud?
4. Mint has clearly written that for Mr Raju, Family, Caste and Telugu were his favorite not the talent in his company.
5. The Whole world already knows that Chennai US Consulate receives the highest Number of fraud VISA applications thanks to Andhraites.

What to do ?. All our fate... No idea.

Think about the lives of 50K + employees of Satyam ?
Who just joined the company hoping to start the fresh life ???
Only God can help them.

My deep sympathies for My Satyam Friends.

Yesterday Night, Arnab Goswami of Times Now was hosting a Show with Swaminathan Aiyar of Economic Times , Narayanamurthy of Infosys and some one.
Everyone condemned the scandal and spoke for strong corporate Governance Laws and Ethics in the company. Swami and Arnab praised NRN and urged him to help Satyam.
But Whil replying, NRN praides INFY practices and critisized SATYAM and never answered the original question.
If he is a true Indian and has high values witht him he should have come forward to help Satyam.
I had huge respect for Mr NRN and thought that he will be supportive of Satyamites.
and today morning, HR Head of INFY Mohandas Pai told the news media that they will not hire a Single Satyam employee. This is Shame. when the Whole world is watching how the Industry behaves, We indians must put up a united front. But we are true Indians correct???.
we will always try in fish in Mud waters.Even the Educated Community lacks the Ethics and Human values.

here I have to bring in a small incident which took place in my native. One Lady ( 50 + ) died of consuming poision a month back on rainy night after a dispute with his son about family property. People from my village helped to bury her immediatley by picking up the Woods and other stuff which had to be collected from many places while the rain was heavy that night.
Eventhough people were not cordial with the Son of the lady died, They forgot the differences and put up a united face to help the family. Thats what happened even when my father died.

but the best educated In India lacks this human values by criticizing the Satyam Employees for things they are not responsible for.

I don't still understand Why INFY made such comments??

Probably he was irritated by Mr Raju many a times???. Only the close circles may know the answer.

Today morning too I read the Angry comments posted by Satyamites against NRN. They are correct.

Good Human being????

This Saturday evening I thought of having a quite walk along Bellandur- Sarjapur Signal service road. This is my favorite road to go for a walk as it has Nilgiri's Super market , where I buy flax seed, Soy milk and Broken Wheat Bread ( usually in other places we get whole Wheat , but looking at the Nutrients value, this one is good)
While Waling,I spotted a middle aged women and man walking together ( looked like her husband ). She had two plastic bags full of vegetables. One bag had teared and vegetables fallen down suddenly. When I noticed her, she was collecting the vegetables which were lied on the road. I had sympathy for her as normally we don't even touch anything on the road except money( I bet everyone !!). She was not looking happy and but collected the vegetables. They started walking towards sarjapur signal afterward.

In the mean time I stopped near a tree and wandering for some time , again I started after a few minutes. this time I saw the man was collecting the vegetables after some 100 feet's on the road alone, looked like the the Vegetable bag had again teared. This time I saw the lady was walking without waiting to collect the vegetables, but the man was.
She might have been irritated by the Plastic bag or by her husband's inability to support her to live a decent life ? I don't know.
But I saw the man collecting vegetables on his own even though some two and four wheelers were passing by. I should have helped him in collecting vegetables, isn't it?. after all he is a human being who is in need of help.I thought the vegetables are bought by real hard earned money. but I didn't do. I felt ashamed of the character I had.

After all I doubt I ever followed any values in my life????. this simple one is nothing.

But I hope the one who reads this blog may have good human values and respect the other humans.

Varanam Aayiram

I happened to watch a Wonderful Tamil Movie Varanam Aayiram starred by SURYA, directed by Gautham and Music composed by Haris Jayaraj.
The Duo ( Haris and Gautham) already has many feathers in their caps. When we have Surya, then think about it.
I would say that SURYA is the one of the Actors along with Vikram, Karthi and legend KAMAL HASSAN.Only these four looks like actors for me. Others like VIJAY and others are the JUNKIEST in the world.

The movie is about Father - Son relationship. Already we have a Mile Stone movie called "Thavamai Thavamirundhu"directed by Cheran. Its about the Village Father's sacrifices for his Sons. even my Sisters and me need to remember what my father did for us. do we??.The time has to answer.

OK OK . enough. We will come to the blog.

Varanam Aayiram is about a City Father- city Son relationship. They mainly speak in English in their house and always read English Novels. Its mainly about how a father mentally supports his son during the difficult times and how he lets his son to take his own decisions and choose his destiny.
This is the abstract of the movie.

Surya's performance is superb. He plays both Father and Son roles. His six pack body looks terrific and it inspired me to do some exercise(Will I continue??. Time has to answer).
The way he expresses his love and followings her to US are very nice. That San- Francisco Bridge and Mist scene ...Wow..... Lovely...hats off to the Camera man Ratnavel.

I would urge everyone to watch this Wonderful Movie If you are looking for a Good Tamil Movie. Please ignore watching Ajith, Vijay movies. ( they are crap.. if you watch their movies, then you will no longer like Tamil Movies.)

I forgot to talk about an important man( sorry Women !!!).For her knowledge and Courage she can be called as MAN. She deserves a separate blog. But I would like her works be lauded here along with the Movie because she is the Lyrics writter for this movie. She is Poet Tamarai. She is a student of My Engish Prof Edwin Joseph Raj at GCT Coimbatore. He used to say this in our class( GCE Bargur: 2000 - 01 in Ist yr Englsih)
All the songs are wonderful.and I reallly love all those songs. I think one song was written by Muthukumar.

Look at the lyrics from one song

Nenjukkul Peidhidum Maamalai
Neerukul Moolkidum Tammarai
Satendur Maaruthu Vaanilai
Penne un mel pizhai

This is one of the loveliest Songs I have ever heard.

If you understand Tamil then listen to this song in YouTube.
What a Song man.. What a beautiful words.. I think that's why bharathi hailed "Tamil as the Sweetest Language in all the languages he has known" Yes.. Tamil deserves it.
We have KAVI PERARASU.( Mr Vairamuthu ) .. Now we have got KAVI PERARASI.yes TAMARAI is worth to be given this title.I hope that one day she will acclaimed with this title.

Best regards,
Guru.

Recession or Depression

Dear Friends,
Iam not an Economist to write an article about a possible Recession, But as a common Man, I have something to say.

I Welcome the Recession with a big smile.

It may look insane to welcome Recession or Depression. But I would like to state my views, Why I want to have a recession in the coming year.
First of all I would like to say who am I?. Iam a 25 year old, Software Engineer living in Silicon Valley (???) of India with a comfortable Salary.

We can't buy a Flat any more in Bangalore Man. a Decent one cost Rs 30 - 35 Lacs.
When I have travel to my native in a travels ( ex..KPN) it costs me around Rs 800.
When I plan to buy a shoe it cost me Rs 2500 to in a branded show room.
When I think about buying a Good Shirt and Pan, It comes around Rs 2000.
Can I afford these?. definitely not.
These are Price Speculation.

MBA Finance Guys, who are inventing new new Financial Instruments to suck the money out of common Man's Packet and simply put it in their Luxury cars and Houses.
Junk companies like Infosys, Wipro, Satyam who never want to do some meaningful work instead of doing BPO, documentation and doing only bull shit work and always beating the market forecast. Now I want them to beat the market. and the junkies who work there always thinks that They are the pride of India. No they are not (Actually I forgot the Proper Vocabulary)

I want all the Big Developers go bankrupt and brokers loose their own houses too.
The Speculation must stop right now.The Flat which costed 10 Lacs last year costs 20 Lacs this year. I want these people go bankrupt.
All the Retails close down the Stores, and so the reckless spending habits of Software Engineers. These Junks never think about the value of the Money.
So I want a Recession to come to India right away and make everyone to understand the value of the money.

Paul Krugman Wins Nobel for Economics

Hey Friends,

I just read a news about Paul Krugman Winning 2008 Nobel prize for Economics.

My Congratulations for Mr Paul Krugman.

He is awarded for his analysis of how economies of scale can affect trade patterns and the location of economic activity. ( I should read about this ..will I ??????). I salute his Knowledge.

The Hindu publicizes his articles in Editorial page. some months ago I used to think what's this bearded Foreigner doing with The Hindu??. I even thought didn't Hindu get any Indian Intellectual to write a column??. Somehow one day I read his article about Sub- Prime Crisis and I was mesmerized by his words. He has written clearly about the Problem in a simple English ( I would even say that his English is easier than The Hindu) for laymen like me. after wards for last few weeks I never missed any of his Columns.( I just started buying Hindu...Earlier I read the junkest news paper in India.. by this you might have understood... for people who didn't identify....that is Times of India.. Only for glamor Pics and masala news. Except the Accent on Wednesdays,Swaminathan K Ankleshwar Aiyar's articles and some more like Q&A on Sunday Times

Even Today I read his article (Brown does Good) about the Steps taken by the British Government to help the Economy by injecting more capital into the Banking System. He hailed Gordon Brown's decision and questioned Henry Paulson's inability to come with such a plan??.Paul Krugman wrote that even though the Results of Mr Brown's actions are not known, still he leads the Economy in the right direction. Well written Article.

Here I must write something about "The Hindu" too. Iam always proud that its a Chennai based ( Iam from Tamilnadu and most of the Contributors are Tamilians) Newspaper which maintains the high standard English in India with great Intellectual Level.
Most of the time you find it difficult to read the articles because of high standard.
One humorous anecdote comes to my mind here. One day I was reading the Reading comprehension Questions from a GMAT book. I couldn't comprehend properly even after reading twice. After a day I read " The Hindu" Editorial ( extreme left side Column on center Page). Immediately after reading, I was extremely happy and laughed noisily. My Room mate asked me " hey whether anything funny written there?". I told him that 2 days back I read GMAT RC question, I didn't understand anything. Today I read the Hindu Editorial. Even here too I couldn't understand anything. So At last I found a News Paper where to read for GMAT Exam.

One more Incident was When I was watching a Video Interview of a CAT Topper from IIM in You Tube, he mentioned that READ HINDU HINDU HINDU. that's the only way to improve your English. That's what even I am trying to do in these days.

Let me see.. Whether my English improves over a period of time?

Anyway I sincerely thank " The Hindu" for bringing out such wonderful Editorials in the News Paper and giving us a chance to read People like Paul Krugman's articles.

Happy Reading Guys.....
Guru.

Swamionics

Swamionics,

Its been a month I posted a blog. When I was just thinking What should be by next blog.. it was Swamionics. Its not a Dictionary term. It is Swaminathan S A Aiyar + Economics. It became Swamionics. He is an acclaimed Professor and Columnist in Economic Times. I could miss anything but not his article on Sunday Times. If you would like understand the burning economic news in the simplest terms then you should read Swamionics.

I learned a lot about Inflation,Indian Economy and much more. This week the Article was about US bailing out Financila biggies like AIG and Feenie Mac, Freddie Mac and Fennie Mae. He argued that The US govt bailed out them to save the ordinary citizens who bought the loan and insurance from them, not to protect the Wealthy Share holders.because the shares are bought for mere money. He also mentioned that this is no way the same what Indira Gandhi did in early 70s by nationalizing the Indian Companies.Indira wanted the upper hand in the economy not in the welfare of the people.

Even Some days earlier When I read the news of bailout of AIG and others I thought that is the perfect Socialism, Isn't it ?. In my understanding, The Socialism is Government running the companies and sharing the wealth equally among all citizens.US supports Capitalism which runs the companies on its own with out the Governments Intervention. But In a Capitalist Country like USA something unusual happened. Now they are talking about more regulations. So far what did the Best minds of the World ( Americans always feel that they are the best in everything) do?. I think there are thousands of Economists and Analysts are there in US working on this for Quite long time. But Everyone failed miserably. Ok We will leave it.I would ask Americans to try to follow Indian Principles and practices. Even Though we are slow we will win at the last.
There is a famous proverb " Slow and Steady wins the Race".

Don't forget to read Swamionics next time when you read Sunday Times next time.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull

Jonathan Livingston Seagull - This is the latest book I read and one of the most valuable book I have. Its one of the best inspiration I read in the recent times. A small story written about a Seagull who(I admire the character.. so I will use who..not which) wants to do something more than a ordinary gull can do.

Jonathan wants to do more than searching stale fish for food. he wants to learn all kinds of flying techniques and over a period of time he becomes good at aerobatics.
His parents are worried about him.And after some time his Community banishes him and he flies to a far cliff.
He wants to show what a Gull can do with his limitations. But No one listens him. He lives there for quite long time and he has become master in his skills.

From this Part... I learnt that we all have much more capabilities then we think and we are not here simply to earn for life.. We are here to do something more ..to learn new things..explore the knowledge..

On one fine day, he flies to a flock, where every gull wants to learn flying techniques. The Elder there teaches Jonathan various techniques ..like how to stay calm ( I think I forgot exactly what Jonathan learnt here) and earn to be free..

From this part... I learnt that we should love everyone around and stay focused and learning is a continuous process..not a one day affair.

After some time.. he decides to go back to his own flock..with some of his students.
He starts teaching his students in front of his own flock gulls and no one listens them..about what they speak. after some time some of the younger Gulls comes to them and starts learning flying techniques. over few months most of the gulls joins them.. and starts learning flying....

From this part... I learnt that we should give back something to the society where we born and brought up.
This is what some of the Good NRI's and Industrialists are doing now a days. I should also do something to my Village Aruvankattuvalasu where I born and brought up.. .

This is one of the book everyone should read...
Must to have at Home Library.....................
you should go through http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Livingston_Seagull to know more about the novel
